Visit enchanting beaches on the neighbouring islands, living unforgettable moments

Mytikas Aitoloakarnania

Mytikas is a village in the western part of Aitoloakarnania. It is so named because it lies on a pointed ridge of the land towards the sea. It is a popular summer destination and is a point of connection with the island of Kalamos, which is very close by.

In the wider region of Mytikas there are many beautiful beaches, many of which have access only by the sea.

Astakos

Astakos is a town of Aitoloakarnania. In the eastern opening of the bay of Astakos is the cove Platygiali. Today it hosts the commercial and transit port of Astakos which features a free trade zone.

It is connected by ferry to Sami of Kefalonia and Piseta of Ithaca. Between Astakos and Mytikas there are many beaches to explore, such as Agrilia, Vella, Asprogiali etc.

Kalamos Lefkada

The island is located just opposite the village of Mytikas in Aitoloakarnania, but despite its proximity it belongs administratively to the Prefecture of Lefkas along with other small islands in the region.

The island is famous for its beautiful beaches that combine the green pine and the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea.

Kastos

Kastos is one of the smallest islands in the Ionian Sea. It is located 6 miles from Mytikas Aitoloakarnania, where it is the closest port of approach to Sterea Hellas, southeast of Lefkas and south, one mile from the island of Kalamos.

To the east of the island there are many small beaches, most famous are Ambelakia and Agios Emilianos. On the last beach there is also one of the main sights of the island, which is the Fokotrypa Cave, which has a small sandy beach inside.

Palairos

The charming town is famous for its beaches. Vathyavali, Varko, Agios Ioannis and Pogonias are beaches visited by thousands of foreign tourists during the summer months.

Lefkada

The beaches of inexhaustible beauty, for which Lefkas is known worldwide, are the attraction of many millions of tourists around the world.

Many of these beaches have been voted repeatedly by tourist guides as the best in the Mediterranean, with more known Porto Katsiki and Egremni.

Prigiponisia

So said the cluster of small islands – Skorpios (island of Onassis), Madouri (island of our national poet Aristotle Valaoritis), Sparta, Skorpidi, turtles and Meganisi located on the east side of the island of Lefkada, opposite the village Nydri.

Ithaca
